Circles are delightful design elements. The fact that these are functional is a bonus. The trick to images like this one is to make it feel like you just grabbed a snapshot of some parts in a barrel. The reality is quite different: cleaning tiny parts, moving them around with tweezers and carefully adjusting the lighting takes hours.

  1. Wow … very nice work … I love how the light plays on all the colors, even the “blurred” items in the background! I had no idea the parts were actually tiny, until I read your description!
I don’t know what your client does, but for a fun promotional twist, you should suggest to them that this particular image would make a great jigsaw puzzle, if such an idea makes senses in their business model. Not the 1000-piece puzzle (which would be incredibly difficult, even for the best puzzle-solvers!), but say 12 – 16 pieces in a “ziplock-type” bag, handed out to prospects as a tradeshow giveaway … marketing / contact message on the back of the finished puzzle. If I received that at a show, I’d be curious enough to put it together … !
