I was recently awarded a multi-day photography assignment to shoot for Xalt Energy in Midland, Michigan. It was a fascinating project as we were able to observe and document the manufacturing process of lithium ion batteries built for commercial use. For much of the shoot we were inside “clean rooms”, which required us to gown up from head to toe in protective garb, as to not breach the near sterile environment. We were also required to enter and exit through an air lock shower that had a Space Odyssey quality to it. The photo shown illustrates how the entire photography crew along with Xalt Energy personnel had to dress in this ultra low humidity and clean environment. Copyright David Trott 2019.
